FO's dream of 2 Kitties, 1 Tower is coming true.

Little Pepper has discovered the joy of sitting in Caramel's throne.

Sigh. Caramel was hanging around me and I thought she might have wanted my company. I picked her up and put her in my lap, and she didn't cry when I picked her up, or jump off when I put her down. She did let me pet her, though she eventually did give my hand a nip. I don't think it was a love nip, because she did it really quickly, but it didn't hurt, so I let it go. But she seemed to have trouble getting comfortable (we were on the computer chair, and I have a harder time keeping my legs together and having a good lap there). I tried picking her up to move her to the sofa, but then she nipped again and jumped off.

Still, that's the most lap cat-ish she's been since we got Pepper.

Pepper, I don't know. I think she's acting sick. She's been in the computer chair looking dead all night. Granted, she's not exactly the most active cat ever, and she always looks dead when she sleeps. FO wonders if maybe she ate too much grass and got an upset tummy. We moved the grass away; if that's the culprit, it'll move through her soon enough.

When Pepper takes a crap, she buries it. She might occasionally paw at empty air, but after just a minute or less, she'll have hit litter enough times that it'll be covered.

When Caramel takes a crap, she paws at the linoleum. And the wall. And the cabinet next to the litter box. And the plastic of the litter box. And if it's on newpaper, she'll paw at the newspaper. Then when she's done, she'll look back at the litter box, see her crap sitting there untouched, and does an incredulous, frustrated double take, obviously thinking something like, "What the fuck? After all that, it's still not buried?" Then she does it again, but more energetically. It still won't be buried. Sometimes when she's upstairs and we're downstairs, we can hear her furiously scraping, trying to bury her poop. I don't think she has ever succeeded at burying it even once.
