The manager got so frustrated (this sort of thing had been going on for the last two days by the sound of it) that he threw his keys across the room and quit when another customer started complaining about the wait time.

We went to a Burger King today and ordered a few double cheeseburgers. The cashier, who was new, messed up several times and ended up putting an order in for 9
(NINE!) double WHOPPERS. She then yelled at us and said we told her whoppers, not cheeseburgers. I don't know how she could have misheard it since we were
trying to go extra slow for her. But it would explain why she asked if we wanted cheese on our cheeseburgers.

If you can't handle a few screw ups in the first couple of days of having a new person without throwing a temper tantrum, then you're probably not
meant to be a Burger King manager. Then again, maybe that's a positive thing for your fate.
I almost wonder if the new person did not know what a whopper was? "Well, it's a kind of burger." "So, if someone says they want a hamburger, that's what I should ring up?" "Uh..." Anyway, I'm really tired now. We had a power outage a few days ago and haven't reset all our clocks, so until I got on the computer, I didn't know what time it was. Based on how tired I felt, I guessed it might have been 1, 2 o'clock. But it's only 12:30. |

strange. they don't usually put retards at the counter at the BKs around here. they ONLY allowed to do the cleaning.
=== if my real life so called friends behave consistently worse than my enemies, i don't know why the heck they're still call me their friend. maybe they already murdered their best friends and constantly need new ones.

My first day at the bank went pretty well. I was mostly observing, but it didn't seem impossible to learn, even if it does take a while. The atmosphere was
wonderful compared to working retail. Everyone seemed so relaxed, and the customers were nicer.

My new doctor gave me some more shots in my back and some more percocet to last me til next Monday when I get more shots. I wish I could get the strong
steroids but I am diabetic so saparin it is. Better than nothing, but it hurts like crazy right now and the effects don't last all that great for too long.
Just gotta wait this out til it goes away on its own. Thank god for medicine.

Found out that after three days of training, I'm being promoted to full time. Instead of 60 hours a month, I'm getting 40 hours a WEEK. For more money
than I was making per hour before. This is something I thought might not ever happen. And then for it to occur after only two full days training. And the
atmosphere, at least at the training location, is so positive. I'm not a religious person but it feels like somebody's watching over me lately. Being
fired has ended up being an incredible blessing in any case.
I also decided that the fact you'd rather sell a game for 8 dollars instead of 40 dollars knowing full well people would pay 40 dollars for it is the reason you're an unemployed moderator on a message board and not a business owner. And fuck you once again for good measure. |

At the other job, yeah. But not here. If you'll recall from that other board where I said:
I'm a bum no longer, fools. I'm gonna be a part time bank teller for $11.00/hr. |

Got back maybe ten minutes ago, after spending almost three hours at the National Zoo. And I only saw half of it.
Keep forgetting to mention this: one of the Smithsonians has this really neat exhibit on Jim Henson, with Muppets in display cases, a ton of concept artwork and whatnot on the walls, and some videos. Although I doubt she could make it, I just thought FO might be interested if she came to DC within a month, when I think the exhibit closes. |

I haven't been there in a while. Or to any zoo for that matter.
Pain has just gotten out of hand but I am somehow managing to stick to 3 pills a day which I have been described. I go back to the doctor tomorrow, hopefully he figures something else out because 2 weeks of shots have done nothing but made my back pain worse. The stinging from the shots have not gone away!

It was a long time ago, but I remember there was this one particular cashier who was very slow and terrible at getting orders right. One day we walked into the restaurant and noticed the line was backed up farther than usual. That person was at the register, so we left and went somewhere else. --Pepto-Dash!! |

way to go, cloudbondu. hope the workplace doesn't get too nasty on you as you progress.
some peeps say i'm expected to get at least 10 bucks per hr(but local currency) for my qualifications, but never found anyone who was willing to pay up. only way i could get 10 bucks per hr or more was to do relief teaching and tution. the tution gigs were way too few and far between, and i never got called up for any relief teaching assignment even after signing up for 2 years. sickening.

I've got my cell phone set up for internet access. It's not incredibly well suited for browsing, but it's acceptable for simpler web sites like CNN
or even gamefaqs. I tried to read a thread here and it said the page was too large to load. FO's site works but it's a bit sluggish to load the
graphics. Since I'll be having hour long breaks from work indefinitely, it seemed like an enjoyable option for the price (about 5 dollars monthly).

$5/month on top of the phone bill, not total, right?

Yeah, I pay $30 monthly for 300 minutes (with unlimited minutes on weekends). It's cool because I can talk to, say, my sister and her family on weekends
however long we wanted to for no extra cost, where on the house phone, that would be a fairly pricey toll charge. There's taxes and surcharges so it comes
out to a little more than $30, but what can you do? I've been thinking of dropping the land line and using the cell phone as the main phone, but
haven't gotten around to making a decision on that yet.
Texting is 15 cents (soon to be 20 cents). The internet is an extra $5.00 I could get unlimited texting for $5.00 a month but I don't think I use them quite enough. It's nice when you want to have a conversation without being overheard by a bunch of random people, though. I like my phone, especially considering that it was almost free (after signing my life away with a 2 year contract). |

I used to hate text messaging but now I can't live without it, especially since every girl on the planet seems to love texting nowadays.
