I thought I could stick it out, but I don't think I can. Hope to see you all again soon...

I was at work when this was posted. I just got home, and FO isn't here. She left a note saying she went to "emergency", with no mention of
which one. We'll see what I can find...

I drove to the closest hospital, and her car was not in the emergency parking lot.

I've called the local hospitals, and they don't have her listed as checked in at them.

Your post total is 10101.
Anyway, not really. I have three simultaneous problems. First of all, I had back problems awhile ago and the therapist then told me that if you don't have proper posture when sitting down your spine starts to "straighten" when it should have an S-shaped curve to it. I foolishly thought I could maintain proper posture just by being conscious of how I was sitting. It didn't work, so now I have to sit with a cylindrical pillow at my lower back to help me maintain correct posture. I've noticed that when I stand up I feel an odd pull on my lower back that only goes away if I lean forward slightly. I also think the old futon we were sleeping on contributed to this problem because the mattress was worn out and it would get pushed down so much that there was literally nothing underneath of parts of my back when I'd sleep. Our new bed will hopefully help correct this problem, along with using the back pillow while sitting. If I don't see improvement in a few months, I may have to go into therapy again. The problem with my spine and the problems caused by the stomach flu I've had the past week caused my hiatal hernia to flare up. This happened once before when Crawl and I were cleaning out the old apartment after the fire and I was under a lot of stress. I have to drink a lot of fluids. When it flared up before, I kept drinking water and the more I drank, the more the pain and nausea dissipated. It's working now, too, but I can't eat anything yet and it hurts when I cough.

I'm glad to hear it is nothing life threatening. When I read your symptoms earlier it sounded just like what my mom went through a couple of years back.
When the docs finally saw her she had a severely inflamed appendix and said she was literally just a few hours from having that explode. Anyways I hope you
feel better soon, I really do. You'll be in my prayers tonight.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the
world.

Thanks, both of you. Unfortunately, at my age, I'm worried that this could be the beginning of a long and lingering downward spiral.
