You'll drop the game soon.

It's too short to drop. An easy addition to my list. Plus I think I'm just grumpy because it's so freaking hot.
Update: "Star-crossed Lovers", "Professor Bomb's Lab", and "Golem Go Make 'Em".

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations - I buckled down and beat the game. Opinions follow. *SPOILERS* The ending was a
little sad. I had really wanted Misty and Maya to have a conversation, and I expected things to end a lot differently than they did. I found Justice For All to
be a lot more uplifting. I AM very glad that they got the main plot line from these games resolved. I don't feel like there's anything up in the air
for these characters. *END SPOILERS*
I'm going to wait for a bit before I start playing Apollo Justice. Final Fantasy IV Advance - Went to the Tower of Babel. Opened the chests on the first floor. ...Well, I was kinda busy finishing the other game. |

I beat Spartan, but it wasn't such a great experience that I say others would have to play that way. I experimented with Easy occasionally when I got game
overs, and it was pretty babish. The game is kind of repetitive by its nature, so maybe Normal would be a better way to go if someone just wanted to
experience it and be done with it.

I always give up on Legend of Mana due to how non linear it is. But I do want to beat a Mana game one day. Grr, so close to beating SD3 back in the day when my
computer broke..
Anyways, I've recently gone through Final Fantasy V Advance, and now I am playing Metal Saga and Koudelka mainly. I also beat TMNT for GBA last night. Short game. :/ Only seven acts, and they seem to get smaller as the game goes on. At least there's bonus stuff to do, like trying to get all 36 trophies (you get trophies for crap like beating an act without dying. Acts 1-3: Bronze, 4-6: Silver, 7: Gold)

CLOUDBOND007 wrote: Strangely, before I got to the endgame, I never really reached a point where I couldn't find any new quests and had to look up a guide for them, but
then again, I may have backtracked through and revisted areas a lot more (which I can understand is tedious and not something you'd necessarily be willing
to keep doing). However, once I had the endgame scenario open to me, I decided to keep doing as many other quests as possible before finishing it.

Started Link's Awakening. I retrieved my sword from the beach and headed into the Mysterious Forest. I got the mushroom and gave it to the witch for the
mushroom powder in return. Threw it on the raccoon, and that turned him back into Tarin. That let me go forward to get the Tail Key. Went to the Tail Cave
dungeon and cleared it out. I was really worried when I saw such a small platform to fight the Moldorm on, but he was actually easier than the one in A Link to
the Past. Seemed like he moved slower and his hit box is larger.
I was a little surprised at how long it took to get to the first dungeon. The graphics are really good for such an old Game Boy game. "No one can withstand

I noticed that you often had to return to Gato to continue a particular series of quests. But some didn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. So it seems to
me that basically, after finishing every quest, you'd have to revisit most of the previous areas you've visited to at least see if anything is
different. And maybe to talk to every NPC if that didn't help. Early on, that's not a big deal, but as the world keeps expanding, it feels like
it's just padding the length of the game.
You also get quests sometimes that ask you to find someone or do something without giving you the first clue about where to start. And when you have over a dozen possible locations, you start to question whether it's worth all the effort. And those quests about the fairy world and the stolen elemental powers are just not interesting to me, and the dialogue often borders on the unintelligible. I haven't even really talked about combat lately. It's so ridiculous. Team mates are useful occasionally as decoys but other than that, don't really matter one way or the other. I have a Chobin Hood I met at like level 5, and I take one of the magician kids from the house when I start a quest. Then I just make sure the main character (I just went with Loki for the name) gets all of the gems. I hit X, use the special moves only because they speed up combat a little bit, and cast a fire spell when I have enemies that are way below my level so I can kill them all at once. For the bosses, I just attack with no strategy. There hasn't been one that has posed a threat since my first day or two of playing. I mostly just buy new weapons if I see them. I don't concern myself with anything other than the 1 handed sword. I forged one new set of armor and one new sword a while back. I haven't done any other customization or crafting because it's not needed. |

Finished "Heaven's Gate". Long, but EASY. The story was better back at the beginning when there wasn't one.
Edit: Also "Niccolo's Business Unusual Part 3" and "The Cage of Dreams". Since I got the Sword of Mana to place, I guess that means I have access to the endgame, but I'll hold off on that for a while.

Ares impaled me on a stick and I went to Hades. I saved after scaling two of those pillars with the blades, the ones where the hit detection allows hardly any
distance between you and the blades.

I rescued Madame MeowMeow's dog from the Moblin boss and carried him around the overworld until I found the Bottle Grotto dungeon. I cleared that one out
with relative ease except the Genie/Clown boss was a little tougher than I expected. I returned the dog, but wish you could carry him around whenever you want
to. He's useful for finding stuff and killing enemies.
I headed over to the swamp area and talked to Richard about the 5 golden leaves, but couldn't figure out how to get into the castle, but then I remembered hearing about having to do the trading game and I had enough rupees by now to win the Yoshi Doll. Traded that with the Quadruplet's mother for a ribbon, traded the ribbon with the smaller dog for the dog food, the dog food Sale the alligator for the bananas, and the bananas to the monkey to build a bridge to the Castle and I got a stick afterwards. I went to the castle and beat some enemies, but I'm still missing 2 leaves. "No one can withstand

I finally went back and finished Sam and Max Ep. 4. I had to GameFAQ the phone bit, which I'm not sure I should slap myself or the designers for, but after
that it was smooth sailing and amusing.

I found one single bush I could burn down yesterday. It had something trivial inside. I thought it was possible that the blue candle burns both bushes its
flame touches, but FO said she thought it was just the one the flame landed on.
I didn't play at all tonight. We went to a park and saw all kinds of animals! Deer, rabbits, birds... But most notable of all was a raccoon we saw on the way back to our car after our walk. It looked like it was heading to the trash for our left over chicken bones from our cookout. It climbed a tree to hide from us when we went by. That's the only time I've seen a raccoon live in the wild at a park. I still wonder where they hide during the day (this was around 9:30 PM). I have seen raccoons live in a dumpster at our old apartment, when they got stuck there. I even saw one leaving my old car one night: I left the door open when I dropped something off inside, and I had a fast-food wrapper that must have attracted it, and saw it when I went back to close the door. |

I "beat" God of War.
I say "beat" because after banging my head against that shit-goggling defend-your-family thing for an hour, I finally said "Fuck this," quit, let Ares kill me a few times in the first round, switched to Easy, and beat all three modes on my next try. I regret nothing. |

Finished "The Fallen Emperor" and "The Guardian of Winds". You're basically helping this evil Emperor in the underworld regain his
power by killing the beings who supposedly stole it. I think that Dark Lord would be proud.
I also watched Flight of the Phoenix. The original that is, as I have no interest in the remake. It was really good.

Okay, I think I'm going to have to break up sessions of Legacy of the Wizard with something else. I just can't find anything in that game. So in other
news I made it to stage 2 of Legendary Wings.
Man, what an unintentionally (?) homoerotic game... Where can I find...a bagel? |
