I got a bunch of other Ultraverse books and holy crap, the guy sent me, like, four copies of Strangers #1 and three Mantra #1s.

We went to Target last night, because a woman in our group broke her shoes (they weren't high heels, but they had heels) and another guy tore his jacket
(though it turned out that Target didn't have jackets). My pants weren't doing so good, so I got another pair. I also got a couple of new but cheap
movies (300, which I've seen before, and The Prestige, which I
haven't. I've read the spoilers, and thought it sounded interesting). I brought season 3 of Arrested Development from home, and I've already
watched all but 1 episode over the past few nights before bed.
I also got some medicine for my digestive problem yesterday. I feel better so far.

Bought a VHS copy of The Addams Family for $2.
My Wii has a strange problem with the internet. According to what the customer service guy told me over the phone, the issue is the first of its kind. I can use the Internet Channel and Shop Channel fine, but the news and weather channels won't work, even though WiiConnect24 is activated with standby mode enabled. |

I bought a second copy of Star Ocean since my brother took the original with him when he moved out and I never got a chance to finish it. I enjoyed what I
played of it from what I remember.

No, the PS1. I guess it's actually Star Ocean: The Second Story.

Last two games I bought were God of War 2 and Super Mario Galaxy. I haven't played either yet, though.

I bought a 1G stick of RAM from Best Buy with a 12% off coupon and ordered the Orange Box off Amazon. I want to play Portal, dammit.

Portal shouldn't need very high system requirements. It's based on the now somewhat old Half-Life 2 engine and the environments in Portal aren't
nearly that large or complex. More RAM sure can't hurt, though.
It's too bad that you probably won't be surprised by certain things as much as I was considering all the posts about the game, but hopefully you'll find the gameplay itself as entertaining as I did. I bought one of those alarm clocks that sets itself automatically and restores everything after any power outages. It's nifty. Took it out of the box, plugged it in, and it was at the right time and date in a few seconds. It's also got one of those alarm sounds that starts off quiet and gradually gets louder until you turn it off, which is nicer than having it scare the crap out of you every day. It was good timing because we've had a couple power outages in the last few days. |

I bought a handgun.
I'm only kidding. I bought a Slurpee, but it was half-melted. |

But it sounds like it sets the real time, not the alarm time. I guess it might do that with GPS or something? When I was working nights at FedEx, FO wanted me to chat with her before she went to bed, so I'd have to set the alarm to wake me up for that. Sometimes, though, I think I slept right through it. |

CLOUDBOND007 wrote: Well, I only had half a gig of RAM which was the minimum, 1G the recommended. I left in the half gig stick as well, so I have 1.5G now. And the only thing I really know about Portal is incinerating the Weighted Companion Cube, and "THE CAKE IS A LIE" so I'm sure there'll be plenty of surprises in store. |

I still remember my first PC: 4 MB of RAM.
I had to upgrade it just to run Netscape. |

But it sounds like it sets the real time, not the alarm time. I guess it might do that with GPS or something?I was wondering about that. I looked it up and I guess some use a radio signal to get the official government time and some are just preset at the factory factory for the time zone it's sold in. You can still adjust the time yourself, so that's really more of a novelty than anything else unless you have OCD about your clock always being right to the exact second. As for the RAM thing, this computer came with 1 Gig because I couldn't afford more at the time. I eventually brought it up to 1.5 and don't see that it would help to go any further since the video card is the bottleneck now. I think the first computer I went on the internet with had 64MB. |

Picked up Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Vol. 1 new for $10 at Wal-Mart. It was either that or World Heroes Anthology, and we all know how lackluster that series
is. Also got a Hard Rock Cafe shirt.

Today I bought Rygar, Shinobi, Mad Maestro, Bomberman Generation, King Of Fighters 2002/2003, Chameleon, and Neopets PetPet Adventures: The Wand Of Wishing. Out of what I played: Rygar is fucking AMAZING, like GOW without the dumb Western-styled meathead jock love, which is awesome. Chameleon is stupid.
It's going back to the store and I am NEVER buying another Starfish/UFO product again (I should have learned after Heavenly Guardian, which ironically I
traded in today). Neopets PetPet Adventures is awesome actually, very good presentation, and plays almost exactly like Ys: Ark of Napsthim. Love the music too.

I wanted to test out my new graphics card, and since the Orange Box is still in transit (I would have bought it local, except Amazon had it for $10 less than
everyone else and shipped for free on top of it), I went to Best Buy and got Clive Barker's Clive Barker's Jericho (by Clive Barker) and the FEAR
Platinum Collection because they were both cheap and some day I may feel like a shitty shooter.

I went to Gamer's Anonymous, and holy crap, some diehard Sega fan unloaded their gear on them! They had a Master system, another Sega CD (this is where I
bought mine), a 32X, and a ton of Genesis and Saturn games. My biggest catch there today was getting a complete Guardian Heroes for $30.
And he said they were going to be getting in another haul tomorrow, as they were buying up the stuff the guy who owned RePlay Games kept when it went out of business. |

I ordered The Darkness and the Starcraft Battle Chest four days after I ordered it, and I got those today but am STILL waiting for the Orange Box! |

I got the Transformers game (the one that's NOT based on the recent movie) for the PS2.
I also scored a copy of Rainbow Islands for NES which I know was lucky because it's somewhat rare. |

Snatched up Summon Night Twin Age for DS for only 16 dollars yesterday. Also finally downloaded Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, but I need to upgrade Direct X and am
being lazy about downloading and running the verifier thing.

I always use free shipping and it's never taken this long. And like I said, I got a package I ordered four days after the Orange Box a couple days ago, but
I'm still waiting for the Orange Box!

One of the very first things I ordered on Amazon.com, before I even had a credit card, was Vandal Hearts 2. It took over a month for me to get it!
I was sort of amazed that they even had Vandal Hearts 2 (this was several months after the game was released, and it disappeared from local store shelves within about a month) so part of me wonders if it was an issue of them having trouble locating it. I think their claim was that it took that long for payment to clear or something. But I paid with a post office money order, which are supposedly insured and guaranteed; in theory, they should be better than a check. That made me wary of amazon, but it never happened again.

Doesn't amazon use different sellers though? So you could be getting different things from different sellers.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't be blaming Amazon, but rather the local post office. According to Amazon's package tracker, it's been in my city for a week
now.

I finally sent Amazon an email asking about the Orange Box because I ordered Mass Effect on the 7th when I caught Amazon selling it for $35, and that arrived
today.
