The only reason I filmed it at all was so that if I couldn't get to work, I had something to show why. I wish I could have filmed the store parking lot. It was getting to be pretty damned creepy as the water was getting closer and closer. You couldn't get out of the lot without going through knee to waist deep water. They eventually declared a limited state of emergency and closed all but one of the bridges (I think I mentioned that part in another thread), though I'm not really clear on what the state of emergency aspect of it meant. I do know that there were automated phone calls at 3:55 warning that the water would be high at 4:00 and that people should move their cars. This is after everything was already underwater and completely pointless.

GO SWIMMING.

I had enough of that. Don't even want to think about what might have been in the water.
