Yes, at other random stands I also found the Optimus Prime iPod dock and the Soundwave SD-Card powered MP3 player. Didn't buy them, tho; had no good use for them.

Went to an import toy bazaar two days back. I spotted a retail box Rumble/Frenzy headset going for ~16 "asian bucks" less than the price normally
asked. Grabbed them for the sheer novelty. My only regrets are that their alternate modes are rather bulky, that there's no black body version (to match my
laptop/cellphone), and that Takara-tomy's wiring's kinda thin compared to other headphones. The sound quality from them is surprisingly good.

I got Mass Effect today. That's the newest game by the makers of the original Knights of the Old Republic. I traded in a couple of games that would be
problematic on ebay (one had a slightly water damaged manual). I got less than half what they were worth, but that's to be expected. I hope the text in
Mass Effect is easy to read without an HDTV.

I got a Terminator 2 Arcade Game for the SNES for a $1, apparently because it uses the Super Scope. Like I've said before, for some reason those games are
always really cheap.

shots than the new anime. or maybe i'm getting the censored version here from the local publisher.

New DVD player, nothing fancy, just a basic $40.00 model that looks like it won't crap out on me after a week. Mainly I got tired of watching DVD's on
the game systems. Too much needless wear and tear, and the controllers are a pain to use for that (plus the batteries die faster than a remote because of the
bluetooth wireless). I could have bought a remote for the PS3 or 360 but those run past 20 dollars anyway, so it seemed better to go all the way and get a
standalone unit. I like the way it looks, nice black finish.

I had preordered Apollo Justice quite a while back but I only recently found out that I get some keychain trinket with it. As I'm assuming it'll be too
ridiculous to actually USE, I'd like to make sure to save it for if I want to ebay the game later.
I ended up buying a new paper shredder because the one I had for only a month is already dead and I'm too paranoid not to shred stuff. And then I bought this stamp with my name and address on it because I thought it would be cool to stamp stuff instead of writing.

I noticed that I was paying enough for my prepaid cellphone that it might be better to get a fixed monthly plan. So I went looking around. And with a lot of
these, they offer new customers a free phone with a 2 year contract. So I signed up for the cheapest plan (300 minutes per month) and got a phone that
(supposedly) runs about $200.00. Of course, if I do an early termination of the contract, I think they get my soul and first born child, that kind of thing.

bought a wee usb fan 'cause i couldn't be buggered to install another internal fan and/or heatsink.i don't think an extra internal would be really
effective if i don't drill new holes into my casing, buy a new one, or just leave the damn thing naked(not a good idea since i hardly do any dusting).
bought a dell 15' monitor although there was a better ibm one around. just don't trust ibm... they were the guys who popularised the crappy ms-dos os.

I finally broke down and got a USB optical mouse for my laptop. I think that touch pad was causing my hands to cramp. It might have been the way I used it:
I tend to wrap my thumb around the front of my laptop, use my index finger for hitting the button, and my middle finger for navigating the pad. Stretching out
my thumb was probably the worst part, since the joint between my thumb and finger is what hurts.
It'll take time for me to get used to a mouse, since I keep finding myself going back to the pad without thinking.* But the mouse has a scroll wheel, too, so that's cool (supposedly, the touch pad has an area to use like a scroll wheel, but it doesn't really work). *-Yes, I found myself doing that when it was time to submit this post.
See how your opinion ruined Christmas for everyone!

It's cordless- a necessary precaution because of my cat. I never would've started on buying cordless accessories if not for her evilness. I've now got a cordless 360 controller, mouse, and now PC gamepad. Once she destroys the keyboard, I'll get one of those, too. She can still eat the receivers but those are easier to hide. |

I'm pretty happy with my logitech controller, too, though mine isn't wireless, doesn't have dual analogue, and doesn't rumble. (Otherwise, I
think it looks about the same)
It seems like a no-brainer to make a PC controller that's like a console controller, but it also seems like it took a while for it to happen. |

Well, I didn't need the rumble at all, so that's a bit of a waste. The dual analogue at least has the potential to be useful with the occasional
computer game or emulator. I mainly bought it because it looked comfortable to hold, was wireless (the cat issue), and from what I could tell from the picture,
the d-pad looked well designed (and it is).
Another choice was to buy an adapter so I could use my Xbox 360 controller, but the d-pad on that really sucks and I'd have to always take it from room to room with me. |

I should have saved my money to get a Wii game that I reserved, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which is due out in two days, I believe. Anyway, three days ago, I
bought Mario 64 DS, three CD's, and two Wii Points Cards, all with my birthday money, which was in late February. The CD's, which was a two disk New
Age, and a three disk Irish collection, turned out to be a waste of money, as they weren't what I expected them to be, but the other things I bought were
pretty good.

I've developed a thing for coins, especially when they've got silver content.
These are some recent purchases I've made. Bald Eagle Silver Dollar Commemorative Bald Eagle Half Dollar Coin 2008 Walking Liberty Silver Dollar The half dollar isn't silver at all but I liked the design quite a bit. You can click the pictures for a larger view. |

They want $44 for a $1 silver coin?
|
|||
CLOUDBOND007 |
|||
|
It's worth $1.00 if you were to spend it for some reason, but the silver value is a lot higher. The walking liberty one is worth about $18.00 in silver at
the moment. They charge $32.00 for it so they make a fair amount of profit.
The eagle one is more expensive because it's more gimmicky and they might be giving part of the money to a charity or else they just know idiots like me buy the stuff. They're also extremely lacking in information on the silver content of that particular coin and I know it's not as high as the liberty.

I impulse bought a tabletop HD radio from Radioshack.com that was on sale. I can't seem to connect to the radio station I liked to listen to at work
through the internet anymore. Either it never connects or it connects for a few minutes, then kicks me off. And I get sick of seeing that same ad for Citi Bank
(or whatever it is) every time I try to reconnect.
I'm hoping that the HD radio will allow me to get the same station, but even if it doesn't, I'm sure I can find something else. It's also supposed to display the name of the song and artist, which I hope works with whatever station I decide to listen to because that's what I liked about internet radio. It hasn't come yet, but it should arrive sometime this week. Also bought the follow CDs from Amazon awhile ago and they all finally arrived: Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band - Live Bullet Boston - Boston Free - Fire and Water Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Emerson, Lake & Palmer The Hooters - Nervous Night Gerry Rafferty - City to City Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel 1 (Car) Buffalo Springfield - Buffalo Springfield Some of those were free because of a gift certificate. I also got these for my birthday: Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Texas Flood U2 - The Unforgettable Fire
Oh my God, they found Tom.
