I think it's likely that McCain will be nominated for the Republicans. I haven't been following that side too much, but everyone (and not just
Republicans) has been saying how great this guy is, how much integrity he has, for years.
I also think that if it came down to McCain vs Hillary Clinton, Clinton would lose.

Yeah, it seems like McCain has really been gaining momentum. Everyone had written him off just a couple months ago. I'm not completely familiar with where
he stands on everything, but I always liked him a lot better than the other Republican nominees (with the exception of Giuliani). There's talk that Rush
Limbaugh and that element of the party find McCain not conservative enough and he's being attacked for that. They've gotta watch they don't make
the Democrats' job even easier doing that, though. I'm sure they would rather have McCain in office than Hillary.
I want to see a Democrat in office, but I don't know if Obama and Clinton really do it for me. I'd take Obama over Clinton for sure, though.

Go go Barack Obama, who I voted for yesterday. Moh-Beel had a special early vote yesterday for people who can't/won't show up on the actual Tuesday
primary due to obese tuesday being on the same day. I'd be "ok" with McCain, as long as Hillary doesn't get elected. Damn I hate that woman.

Pretty much second to everything everyone says here. I think I could live with Clinton in office, but Obama would be so much better. McCain isn't a bad
Republican choice.
Is it the anti-gamer sentiments that make her so bad in our eyes? Or is it simply the presidential office lust that virtually drips from every word she says? |

i would rather have another clinton than an even more under-qualified half-a-brown-nigga. what happended to john whathisname and ron paul? i read they both
have more experience and knowledge for the job than any of those jokers.

I think Ron Paul's still in it. I was expecting him to do much better than he did in Nevada, though.
There's two Johns in the election. John McCain is doing quite well, but John Edwards is out. It's now between Clinton and Obama for Democrats, surprise surprise. The whole thing about the "experience" argument is that while understanding the government's day-to-day operations is a desirable quality, nobody (with the possible exception of Clinton) would really have any experience being president. They're all going to have a learning curve. At least Obama stated ideas on how he wants things done. |

Ron Paul had absolutely no chance of even being nominated. He's also a complete nut. He claims, for example, that we should use the constitution as the
basis of our law. Okay. He also claims that income taxes are illegal (???) even though they're clearly made legal in the constitution.

Yeah, that experience argument's been used in the past against people who have won, like Bill Clinton. During Bush's re-election campaign, that was one
of the main issues used against him.

The experience argument is ... uh ... weak and not compelling. Number one, when you're applying for the job of president, it's something you could
have done at most once before.
Number 2, the way the system is now, it's only possible for extremely rich career politicians to become president. I'm not sure this should be encouraged even more than it already is. |

right. john edwards. read about it yesterday. didn't say if he would prefer obmama or clinton to win. some liberals were crazy about him at an REM board.
but the other half of them southerners who claim to be liberal(and chuck norris) seem to love huckabee.

I know that he's just saying he's not perfect, but I laughed at this Romney quote:

McCain did pretty good on Super Tuesday. I was worried for a while that Romney might end up gaining momentum. Every time I've seen the guy speak, he's
been really negative and abrasive. But he's pretty far behind at this point. He accused Huckabee of siphoning some of the ultra conservative voters from
him, implying he should just drop out, but Huckabee ended up doing about as well as Romney.
There was this great race where McCain was going to lose to Romney, but neither had the majority that was required. So when they voted again or whatever they had to do, most of the McCain voters voted for Huckabee just to keep Romney from winning, and Huckabee took the state. It seems like Obama vs. Clinton still has a long way to go before it's settled. |

Also, I've been reading on blog after blog that Obama is our Reagan from 1980. Reagan was a fantastic orator who came along when America was disgusted with an extremely unpopular President and yearned deeply for a change. I think it's a great analogy (even though Obama's ideas are much stronger than Reagan's in 1980). now, this is a thoughtful quote from someone who sounded like he was rooting for the clinton. will you be fooled again? the philipines(sp?) elected a b-actor once too. he was charismatic too. do it again?

I will tell you how it is, Romney and Huckabee are Jockeying into position for vice president which is not a secret. I see Romney winning because I think that
Mcain knows he needs the conservitive vote, huckabee is a reflection John Mcain and can not get him the votes he needs.

but tv show, the west wing, predicted that the brown man will win. mc-cain looks like an even bigger flip-flopper than any democrat who's even been accused
of being a FF by the republicans. i don't think huckabee's droogs or rommy's moral pies would even trust him.
