I haven't had to replace a battery yet, but if I ever do, I think I'll try his method first.

According to this person, you might be able to just use electrical tape instead of a
soldering iron.

You could probably do *something* a little more secure than just physically smooshing it into place with electrical tape. Even copper tape for a better
connection would probably be an improvement.

At some point I should change the walktrough on my site to show how to install a battery holder instead of soldering the actual battery. Its much easier,
safer, and easier to replace in the future.

The guy who replaced my Secret of Mana battery said he put a battery holder in so that if I ever need to do it again, it will be a lot easier.
