Set your clocks ahead tonight. |

Not an April fools day joke, it's that time of year again. I almost forgot about this and would have been late for work tomorrow morning.

My work place set the clocks ahead around 2 PM on Friday. For a moment, I had thought that the day was going faster than I was used to.

Is there some reason that in the year of 2006, when we have more amazing technology than ever before, ezboard is less efficient than lazy old me at getting the clocks set?

Well, did you get amnesia, fall into a coma, and lose your health insurance simultaneously sometime in the past 12 months?
Then again, they've never been able to do it right. |

Ezboard claims they don't change the time because they're an international service and not everyone participates in daylight savings.

There should be a setting, however, that would make it automatically change a particular board. It wouldn't have to be a global time change. The setting would be a simple binary thing, for goodness's sake. Storing it for a given board would take 1/60,000 of the memory needed for this post.

Ezboard hasn't even changed their copyright date to 2006 yet.

Thank you! I keep getting confused. Stuff like... I didn't make that post over an hour ago, did I?

You'll get it back in Fall.

Well, it was nice that the time on the board matched my time zone while it lasted.

I've said it before, but if I had my way, daylight savings time would be active year round. Then the sun would set at 6 pm in the winter rather than 5 (which is ridiculous)

That's what I'd like, too.
Quote: What ezboard should REALLY do is allow the users to set it. So that each user in his/her time zone will see the correct time displayed. Other message board services do it, but of course ezboard is behind the times as usual. ![]() |

I didn't know Indiana was changing that.
But you'll like it in summer, DC. I miss Daylight Savings when it goes. |

Heh. I got so used to the time on everyone's ezboards being east coast time that I had to set my own board an hour behind even when I still lived in Illinois.
