So, half asleep yesterday visiting my mom for breakfast after getting off work on my last night of overnights yesterday, I decided to stay awake as long as I could so I'd be able to sleep last night before going to work this morning at 11. We start playing some Atari games and looking through the manuals and stuff for laughs, and I ran across the first 3 issues of the DC Comics book, Atari Force, which was packaged along certain games, telling the story of a "future" in 1998 after the third world war in which the world is facing imminent starvation. Atari, now owning NASA and the National Academy of Science, has developed an inter-dimensional ship that can cross universes to help find inhabitable worlds for humanity after failed attempts at artificial environments on the moon... and they end up going into "worlds" corresponding to Atari games. I expected something more hokey than what it actually turned out to be; it was actually pretty fun to read. I'm hoping to run across more...
