It's funny, I actually don't like Lasagna much. I guess it could qualify for that "Things you hate that everyone else loves" thread, except

I never liked lasagna for years and sometimes would flat-out refuse to eat it. I think I figured out the reason why is because my mother didn't know how to
make it. I think she might've used cottage cheese in it, which I can't stand.

I used to to hate it because whenever I had it it was one of those crappy Marie Calendar's things (I think the only thing from that brand I hated more than
the lasagna was the meatloaf). However, I've since had it at some competent Italian restaurants.

I think it's strange that someone would use cottage cheese in lasagna. That's not the right type of cheese at all. What you're usually supposed to
use is ricotta or mozzarella.
My mother used to make lasagna not very well. She would just use plain tomato sauce. If you don't have time to make your own sauce but need to use something from a can, you should use something like spaghetti sauce, which has more to it. |
