So what does everybody think about this announcement? I personally can't imagine how it could be any good judging by how much the quality of the show has declined. What can they possibly do in two hours that they haven't already done or can't do in the series?

:Shrug: Who knows? But it's not coming out for a year and a half. Maybe they'll have more time to polish the script than they have for their half hour episodes.

Sounds like it could be a fun experience, seeing the Simpsons in a movie theater. It's not like you have to really worry about it failing to live up to the level of quality of the last few seasons of the show, anyway. As long as it doesn't turn out horrendous by most reviewers' standards, I'll go see it.

All I can say is that it's about damn time! I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping they'll put any good ideas and jokes they have left into the movie and then end the series. I'm just glad they finally decided to make a Simpsons movie before the voice actors get too old to do one or something.
