I have a theory as to why that hidden room below DK Isles in Donkey Kong 64 was stored there.
This is the cutscene that the room is used for: ![]() ![]() ![]() It's the cockpit of the ship that K. Rool flies out of the Crocodile Isle and crash-lands on the island. I've found that I can consistently get my Kongs into the room by starting at the area behind the waterfall, then swimming towards the area where the ship crashed. Even though the room is always there, even before the ship crashes, I believe that's WHY it is there. I wonder if Rare, at one time, planned for you to be legitimately able to explore this room, the same way you can explore K. Rool's throne room on the Crocodile Isle, or Gruntilda's lab in Banjo-Kazooie? And then maybe later they decided to just cut right to the boss fight upon entering the wreckage of the ship? Or maybe the room was just stored here for convenience? What's funny is that if you can get your Kong to swim into this room, as opposed to jumping or walking into it, he/she will continue to swim until you jump. Since there is technically no water in this room, it will appear your Kong is floating in zero gravity! It looks funniest with Lanky because of how long his arms are: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think there's anything in the entire DK universe cuter than Chunky.

Here's another weird glitch. After you've unlocked the End Sequence under the Mystery Menu, activate it. Wait until credits are shown at the left side of the screen, then press A to end the sequence and return to the menu. Then immediately start the sequence again. When the credits roll, they'll be slightly out-of-order, and at the end, the number "33" is displayed for some bizarre reason:
![]() Okay, I've shown you how to get to the hidden room. But did you also know it's possible to take any Kong, not just Tiny, in to the Banana Fairy's room? It's very easy to do. ![]() Normally, only Tiny can get through this door to the Banana Fairy's room, and then only by using the shrinking barrel on the right there. But using this trick, even a fully-grown Lanky (or any other Kong for that matter) can get inside. ![]() Swim just off the coast of the island, press Z once to dive, then rapidly tap the B button. You should go right through the ground. Try to swim inside the island and press R and C-Up to reorient your camera once inside. Look for that trapezoidal formation seen right in front of Lanky in my screencap. That's the entrance to the Banana Fairy's room... ![]() In first-person view, this is what it looks like. ![]() Jump up into it, and then run forward. ![]() Although you're actually going through it the opposite way you would normally go with Tiny, you'll still trip the gate when you hit the right spot. ![]() Tah-dah! You're in the Banana Fairy's room! Not much to do in here but collect some crystal coconuts. Unlike entering, you don't need a trick to leave. Your Kong is scaled down enough to leave through the exit no matter who you bring in here (even Chunky). ![]() Um...sorry. Couldn't get the Banana Fairy's head in this screen capture because she acts like such a freak.

I'll make this a link. Made me laugh when I came across it out of nowhere, but maybe not entirely appropriate for work/school viewing.

Here's another hidden room:
![]() When you have all 40 blueprints, go to Snide's HQ and bring up the Bonus Games menu. Highlight any bonus game (I recommend Beaver Bother because if this code doesn't work, you can end that mini-game right away by leaping into the center hole), then press and hold B and A at the same time. ![]() If you did it right, instead of going to a bonus game, you'll end up...here. It's a strange room with no music, four platforms, a yellow balloon, and...Donkey Kong. You cannot bring up the pause menu in this room. ![]() Even if you come in here as Donkey Kong, you'll see this motionless clone standing in here. He occasionally blinks his eyes but that's it. You can even run right through him. ![]() If you bring Donkey Kong in here, you can shoot this yellow balloon. However, since you can't bring up the pause menu, you can't save, and the game doesn't seem to autosave in here either. It won't affect your totals. ![]() The four platforms have the same tile pattern on top except the tallest one...whose pattern matches that of the floor... You can't escape this room. If you walk off into the darkness, you'll eventually reapper at the start of this room. The only way out is to reset. This room doesn't seem to be the result of a programming glitch. It's more likely it was intentionally put in there, but I wonder for what purpose? Could it be something from the Beta version? (I know it's possible to unlock a Beta mode in Ocarina of Time by using a Gameshark.)

I think I figured out why Chunky is so adorable. It's his feet.
![]() Donkey Kong has these really big mammoth paws... ![]() But Chunky has these cute little feet and they're even articulated with an opposable toe. ![]() Chunky doesn't want to be chosen... ![]() He suggests picking Tiny instead. ![]() But that doesn't stop him from waving and yelling "Yoo-HOOOO!" when you have anyone else highlighted.

![]() Does anyone know if there's a feature on mistranslated captions for Lord of the Rings like there was for Revenge of the Sith (or "Backstroke of the West")? I've seen a few of these, but don't know where they came from. "Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood." -Orwell |

Quote: It looks like he's pooping them out. If you didn't know that was a backpack, it could easily look like the same kind of outfit that Lanky Kong is wearing and the backpack could be the seat of his pants. This is why Chunky is the greatest Kong ever: ![]() ![]() Why is he dressed like that???? ![]() Then he changes and his clothes and falls over!! (And nobody else has hardly moved a muscle.)

![]() I guess everyone is supposed to spin and then lean forward. Lanky and Donkey got it right... ![]() Tiny and Diddy are in position... ![]() I don't think Chunky feels too good... ---- ![]() Now everyone take three steps, then spin around... ![]() ...and watch where you flail your arms or else... ![]() Say bye-bye to Lanky! ![]() oops...

Dammit! I was going to scan my toys that I bought last week (my Lego Harry Potter and Snape, Alien Queen, and Axl), but I just found out the old computer (and the only one that works with the scanner) resets itself every few minutes. I guess it's finally dying for good. I'll have to get a new scanner (one that will work with the new PC with Windows XP) before I can post any more toy scans or Image Arcane stuff.
The funny thing about this picture: ![]() Is that it was the ONLY picture from Harry Potter 3 that I kept seeing around the internet for the longest time. Yet when that scene occurs in the movie, it's much darker so it's difficult to see and it only lasts a split second.
