I just realized that somewhere along the way, the numbering on these got screwed up. I think it's because Tweeter posted a GPT44 when it should have been 30 something, and I counted up from there. There's probably only around 60 GPT's, but who feels like changing it now?

My Oblivion addiction has mostly kept me away from the PS3 so far. I started the Knights of the Nine questline, making a pilgrimage to nine shrines scattered throughout the land. It was mostly just searching for the places using an old map that either wasn't drawn properly or doesn't match exactly because of changes to the land itself since it was made. I cleansed myself of my sins. Apparently spending a day or two going to shrines makes up for dozens of murders and the theft of countless valuables.

For the PS3, I set up virtual memory cars for PS1 and PS2 games. SotN actually had a weird graphical issue on the file load screen but seemed to play fine otherwise. DIE MONSTER, YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD. YOU STEAL MEN'S SOULS AND MAKE THEM YOUR SLAVES. WHAT IS A MAN? A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS!

I played some Resistance. It's a harder FPS than I've seen lately because your health doesn't regenerate just from not getting hit for a few seconds. There are occasional invisible checkpoints that you revive from if you die, and you get full health if that happens. I had to do a somewhat substantial part of the first stage over once, though.

This game is an alternate history where the planet was invaded by aliens in the 1940's. Europe has fallen and the Americans are fighting the battle against creatures they have no idea how to deal with. The opening narration was rather poor, though. I can accept a story like this and take it seriously, but you have to tell it well.

Graphics are about equal to 360 games. Those systems are about evenly matched. The controller received some flak for being ultra light, but I rather like that about it. I guess it's because the rumble part isn't inside. Whether that trade off is worth it, I don't know. What's also nice is that it has a built in rechargeable battery so you don't have to manage AA's yourself. Unfortunately, it's not removable, so when it eventually dies, your controller does, too.

The multiplayer is supposed to be totally free, so I'll probably check it out sometime. Unfortunately, I still don't have wireless internet or a router, so moving the modem is the only way. At least the web browser is decent enough to feed my occasional need to check stuff, though.

Rogue Galaxy starts off pretty cool, anyway. It's better looking than almost everything I've played on 360. And I'm not even a big cel shading fan. Voice acting is good, battle system feels nice. I might just be J-RPG starved, though.
