This suddenly sprung to mind, and this is going to be one of those things that's going to bother me until I get an answer.
Anyway, the boss is an alien or skull or something with its mouth open a little, and its signal that it's going to attack is that it licks the inside of its teeth, then after the tongue travels from one side of the mouth to the other it quickly whips its tongue out.
I might have imagined this, or maybe it's from a game nobody else here has played (I doubt it, because it seems like a Castlevania boss), by anyone know?
