This is from our housing inspection report. Along with having the PDF, the guy doing the inspection actually told us that he tested these wires and they were live.

We finally had someone look at them yesterday. He drilled a hole into our wall and ran a camera into it. I was also told that the moisture level in the tree doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it catches fire when struck. If the ground has enough moisture it will absorb the bolt.
