Phantom Hourglass - I did a run through the hourglass temple and managed to reach the end this time. I also managed to defeat every soldier on every floor, which snagged me a few treasures. I also got the gold smokestack.

Well, I beat Agony.

I actually got good enough at the level that I was able to make it to the part before those fire snakes with the erratic patterns without dying. But it still severely pissed me off whenever I'd die because I entered a space that was occupied by a camoflauged enemy.

At first I thought the final boss was overwhelming, but I found a way to totally cheese him. Jeez, that puts him at the level of Super C's final boss.

And then WinUAE...

So I'm to the last level of Agony, and holy shit it's brutal. Which would be great, except most of the difficulty is coming from the the game filling the screen with enemies that are the same reds and browns as the background, making it almost impossible to tell what the fuck is going on.

I found you can get through most of level 5 by hanging around the bottom left of the screen, more between the middle and far left of the screen than in the corner and holding the fire...

I think at the new place, FO and I will give up our old ideal of trying to have every game system we own connected to a TV simultaneously. It was a pretty ridiculous idea to begin with, it led to tons of clutter, we never really succeeded, it's easier to emulate some stuff, etc., etc.

We only have one TV set up right now, with just the PS2 (most for DVDs) connected to it.

Hmm, when I play games again, what will I play? I thought I had some emulated stuff going, but I...

Jet Force Gemini
Completed the Military Base (Ichor) and Flume (Mizar's Palace) stages with Vela. The boss for the former was pretty easy. The latter level was even easier, as there were no enemies. I saved all the Ewoks Tribals and hopefully I've gotten all the capacity crates - although I mapped some of the underwater maze which should be handy if I needed to replay that stage. Now, onto the Lupus parts.

Phantom Hourglass - I bought a Tropical Prow. Still need the anchor for this particular set.

I'm having trouble finding things again. I've gone through all floors of the dungeons on the various island. I may have to bite the bullet and finish one of the asinine mini-games. At least the "hit me X number of times" is 100 this time around. Unfortunately, though, there's no lock-on and it's just an annoying one to do.

Not as annoying as the archery...

I've been playing Spyro 2 on a whim. This game is really easy, and the levels are rather small. I've only been playing for 2 days, and am already at 80%.

I been playing a lot of NES Puch Out!! lately. I came across some youtube videos of people beating the boxers very fast in the 1st round and learned some new methods I didn't know before.

When I played the game awhile back I got to Sandman but forgot how to beat him and died.

I have beaten Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World about a month ago. I nearly sobbed at the ending, until I saw what made the good ending good. Lord, I'm such a sap.

More progress in Mega Man Legends; I can't remember if I conquered one sub-gate or two, but I just finished the last encounter with the Bonne family. Apparently I'm not far from the ending!

50 doesn't even light up the beach. That's surprising.

Phantom Hourglass - explored the fire temple and pulled out a Wisdom gem and a white pearl necklace. The former was very well hidden and required a shot in the dark (literally), the latter I feel bad for missing because the answer was so obvious. I still need 3 Wisdom, 2 Courage and 1 Power gems.

I also got a stone hull, meaning once I get the stone-themed guardrail, I'll have a complete set. Of course,...

By the way, to clarify some confusion from earlier:

Yes, you only need to collect the first 7 shines from each of the seven worlds. And that 7th shine for each level is chasing Evil Mario/Baby Bowser. So, the minimum shines you can have when you beat the game is 50 (49 from the worlds, one for beating Bowser).

For what it's worth, I had around 70 when I beat the game.

Wait until you get to Control Center on 00 Agent. It still amazes me that I ever cleared that level.

In Sunshine:

Bianco Hills: 8 Shines.
Ricco Harbor: 7 Shines, beat that Red Coin one I was having trouble with. Need to unlock Yoshi to proceed.
Gelato Beach: 7 Shines, working on the Watermelon one.

Ready to start Pinna Park.
