There were a few resons I liked SMB 2 more than the others on the NES. First, I liked how you had more than one path in most levels to reach the end. Second, I liked that you had four different characters to play with that all had very different mechanics about them. Lastly, I just liked the bizzare enemies that the game threw at you.

I think that was more common around here in the past. Look at the old Rate the Game.

Like the summary at the end said,

Average Score: 4.2/5

Seems like the Game Pond generally loved this game, despite how short and easy it is.

I've beaten Final Fantasy 3, but I definitely prefer Final Fantasy 1. I reread my original thoughts on the game as a refresher.

I liked that the game was ambitious (some of the stuff from later Final Fantasy games can be traced to it), I liked that some of the dungeons had unique twists (eg., the one you had to go through MINI), but I didn't think it was as challenging as Final...

8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (Nostalgia factor here...I also LOVE the Technodrome theme...it's one of my favorite 8-bit songs)

Yes, the Technodrome Theme is really good.

1. Super Mario Bros. 3 - Yeah, sorry it's a cliche, but this is the game that got me back into gaming after Atari killed my interest completely. The amount of stuff that's in this game is not often rivaled.

Cool List.

Let's see...I have not played enough of CV 3 to really know how much I like it. From what I heard though it's supposed to be one of the best on the console.
SMB 3 is a given...it's one of the best video games ever made.
Of course I love the original SMB but I prefer almost every Mario game that came after it.
I always thought Crystalis was overrated.
I almost put Final Fantasy on the list but I MUCH prefer FF3 and I didn't want more...

Like the title says....what are your top 10 NES games?

Mine Are:

1. Super Mario Bros. 3 (It was either this or Mega Man 4...)
2. Mega Man 4 (First game I ever beat)
3. Mega Man 3 (I actually prefer these 2 MM games over MM2)
4. Kirby's Adventure (EPIC)
5. Final Fantasy 3 (This FF completely TOWERS over FF1 & FF2)
6. Mother (Also called Earthbound Zero)
