i think 12 games a year would be a more relaxing pace, if you have a full-time job, sleep 7 hrs a day without fail, and you don't play a lot of games which take less than 10hrs to complete.

and i almost never force myself to complete a game i got bored with.

Yeah, I always set insane goals. 20 is actually really good for me, since I beat like 6 in 2006 and 9 in 2005.

I don't count replays unless I 100% the game, or it's a remake/port that's different enough (I'd count FF4A and FF5A because of the bonus content, but I wouldn't count FF4 for PSX if I played it again since I already 100%'ed it before, for instance.)

For a normal person (or at least me), I think 20 a year is a reasonable goal. I beat that goal in 2006, but hardly played anything in 2007 and didn't even come close. (I also don't count games I replay, for what it's worth)

52 a year ... maybe when I retire.
