Supposedly some striking writers infiltrated Carson's audience during a taping and disrupted the show several times. When they were eventually told to to leave or risk prosecution, 20 people stood up and walked out.

I saw a few sites saying that there's a decent possibility of Leno, Conan, and the rest coming back if there's no deal by January.

I'd be really curious to see how Conan would do without writers, although he is one himself, so...

Yeah, that's why I don't get how this works. If someone wrote their own stuff, wouldn't they basically be a strike breaker?

Part of me is thinking, "Can't anyone come up with ideas, or jokes?"

And the other part of me is thinking, "Yeah, that's why unions exist."

Tonight he answered some really stupid questions that a viewer submitted online, which led to him talking to his Mom on the phone during the show about his childhood nickname. There was also a Guacamole-cam featuring their green room and the awesome food that resides within. There are times when he actually looks pretty uncomfortable by how he has to do the show these days, but the audience seems to enjoy it and the oddness of it is still pretty captivating. I'd be really curious to see...

I watched a little bit of Last Call with Carson Daly tonight. It's not a show I normally have any interest in, but he's the only one to resume production since the strike, supposedly in order to keep his non-writer staff from being fired.

It was really awkward at times because they were kind of bumbling around trying to make a show from nothing, with some ideas not quite working. But that also made it more interesting to watch than it might normally be.

I personally don't care too much about whether or not this would affect new movies or TV shows coming out. So, I wondered if I could come up with an angle that would interest me.

I think the future of the American economy is in entertainment. We're not much in terms of manufacturing anymore; the vast majority of tangible things I own have "Made in China" stamped on them. In our own country, supposedly the proportion of agricultural workers is at a historic low....

The Writers Guild of America board voted unanimously to strike as of 12:01 a.m. Monday (3:01 a.m. ET), officials said.
