1) Archiving stuff here means would could keep it on a Gold board.

2) It's nice to keep the URL the same (not just for users, but also things like Google).

3) There may be topics here that some people might like to revive every once in a while. Example, FO's and my "Movies we've seen together" list, our AFI checklist, games I've beaten in 2006, etc.,...

What I'll probably do is archive it once it hits 20 pages, and move the most recent and active posts to a new forum.
