Maybe so, but I was referring more to the fact they included it at all when other companies pretty much half ass that sort of thing. Konami left a whole bunch of "Check the manual for frequencies" shit in when they ported Metal Gear 2 to the PS2 but didn't actually print any of that information in the actual manual.

I'm guessing they just assumed that information was already on the internet but I kinda hate being forced to check an FAQ.

I heard you can still do the "dip the paper in water" trick in StarTropic's virtual manual which is kinda cool.

Yeah, I posted a clip of it in the Youtube thread. The implementation could've been cooler.

I ordered Nightmare of Druaga off of eBay because I wanted to play a dungeon crawler, but then I remembered my PS2's controller ports have stopped working.

I bought Star Tropics and Legend of the Mystical Ninja on Virtual Console. I've never played the former, and I liked the latter. I'm still deciding what I would like my third purchase to be.

Taking the plunge and buying an entry level GPS system as a birthday present for myself. That last surprise detour was just too much for me, I'm terrible in situations like that, I get myself sick with the stress.

Just bought seasons 9 and 6 of the Simpsons a few days ago. I got seasons 3 and 5 on Christmas, and decided that 4 seasons wasn't enough.

bought desert punk, the whole bloody pervy series (24 episodes, i think) for just 20 bucks, in a bookstore. nice. originally released in 2004(japan, not sure about local publication). i guess that means the VCD format is truly dead. long lived the VCDs.

or maybe all the anime fans here would rather watch the fansubs on the internet with DVD quality. i'm pretty sure they hate the local distributer(ODEX) for trying to sue their asses for sharing anime, which are not even sourced...

Went to a used game outlet and bought the SNES version of Clue. They didn't have much else.

I got both the SNES and Sega Genesis versions of Samurai Shodown. The SNES version was more expensive but according to FO it's a much better game so hopefully it was worth it.

Aside from some games I mentioned in the progress topic, I got some DBZ DVD's as a gift. That show is kind of a guilty pleasure for me. They've come out with full season sets at much, much lower prices, so these are much more affordable than previous releases that would have only a few episodes.

You can watch them in Japanese, or in English with original Japanese music but I just use the English dub and the regular broadcast music.

The best feature is the marathon...

I don't exchange gifts with anyone in my family anymore so I don't have much to show off. I did go to a used game store and went through their PS1 games. There's usually hardly anything good, but I found Threads of Fate, Kartia, and Rival Schools so I just bought them all. One of them (I think Threads of Fate) was missing its manual but oh well. It was cheap.

For Christmas I got Radiant Silvergun, and with that I have the only two $100+ games I really want.

My brother got a gold DS that came with Phantom Hourglass.

Hey all, I got Final Fantasy Tactics on PSP and this thing that can jump start your car by plugging it into your lighter. Guess I'm gonna spend tonight playing FFT and intentionally running out the battery in my car.

We decided to open our presents early this year. FO got me several things, but for videogames, she got me Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. I'll probably play that soon. She also got me Etrian Odyssey. That was a good find -- it doesn't seem to be too common. I probably WON'T play that too soon, because I should stick with Secret of Mana, but maybe after that I'll play it. Well, if I can't resist the temptation, I might at least give it a test run.

Yeah, it seems like it used to take FOREVER to buy shoes when I was a kid. We went to the mall, and waited in the shoe area for what seemed like hours. That area had a horse with a pole through it (like from a merry go round), and I'd sit on top of it. If we had faster service, that wouldn't have been necessary. I have no idea what took so long.

When I buy shoes now, I pick out something that's generally okay. The worker invariably informs me they don't have it...

I finished cleaning out Crawl's old Eagle Summit and I found his long-lost copy of Yoshi's Island for GBA. He lost it during the move to our new apartment, so I bought him a new one. I doubt this one's battery will still be working since it was lying on the floor in the back of car where there is a lot of water. Water has been leaking into that car for some time now ~ so much has gotten in the trunk that everything that was in there, which is nothing Crawl claims is anything he...

I bought Mega Man X5. A store that sells preowned games was getting rid of its Playstation stock and that was the only game they had that I didn't already have that wasn't a sports title or something I never heard of.
