I played some more Sam & Max last night. The game isn't funny enough for me to laugh out loud, but it's enough to keep me playing and to make the dialogue enjoyable. This is my first time being exposed to these characters and I find them likeable enough.

I watched the MST3K Space Mutiny. The beginning was pretty dry, but by the end of the movie it was a riot. At one point, one of the robots made a joke where they called the buff guy "Dolph". A few of the self-aware comments in that dungeon were amusing to me, because rather than just having the joke be that they were self-aware, they commented a little more about videogame dungeons in particular.

I have to find the Turbo Oil (or whatever it's called), and to do that I have to get to a city that's surrounded by reef and mountain. First I navigated an underwater maze that led me to a locked door. Yay. Then I started trekking across land that brought me to a city that wasn't the one with the Oil. I was already sick of this game, so I called it a day.

FO said she beat this game three times. Well, we were sort of busy today, having to do chores like go to the bank and do our grocery shopping, among other things.

Then I went through another tower.

Then I went through the waterway to the Fortress of Doom. Why are there flaming armors underwater?!?!

The ruined FoD was a welcome change of scenery. There I found I was right about my hypothesis on Lufia.

Now I have to do some more fetch questing.

It was slightly harder than the last one. In one random fight in the dungeon, Paula was confused and I decided to have her cast PSI Fire Beta anyway. Opps. She cast it on the party and wiped out everyone but Ness. In fact, Poo is first played at level 15, and, moreover, his first quest doesn't involve any fighting, and once it's over, he's boosted up to level 18.

That first quest, by the way, is another moment in this game sort of like the Gogo fight in Final Fantasy 5.

The first fight I got in with Poo (against a mummy) raised him 3 levels, and the next fight (against another mummy) raised him two more.

I just beat Agahnim. I still didn't know how to tell when he's going to do the lightning versus the other two attacks, but I didn't get hit with it anyway. I just looked it up to be sure.
