Yoshi's Island DS. It lacked the level design and polish of the original. I also hated the baby switching and lack of vehicles.

I totally agree about Might & Magic 3 - I'd go so far to say that it's a strong contender for the worst game I've played, not just the worst sequel.

I liked ActRaiser 2 to a certain extent, but I quit playing it after awhile because the game is just so slow and it's difficult to use the magic. I suppose they wanted a magic system that would be more akin to doing special moves in a fighting game rather than having a menu select so there'd be no breaks in the action, but they really needed to rethink that system a little. I also found it easy to beat much of the game without actually using magic but there are parts where it seems...

Heh. I'm one of the few people who actually likes ActRaiser 2. I thought the first one was short, easy and forgettable. I liked some of the graphics and music, the sim modes were fun but not very deep, and the stages went in one ear and out the other. But ActRaiser 2 was actually pretty challenging and I thought it even had better graphics (though I don't remember the music as much.) I based the background of my site on the first level.

Phantasy Star III was a great way to illustrate how to flush a game's potential down the toilet. I love the premise of the game but hate the execution. Hugues Johnson is working on an editor for the game. That could prove interesting. The other downer sequels aren't really "the worst" but moreso just disappointing.

Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon! Whoever designed that game was either drunk, paralytic, Lucifer or the artist formally known as Prince. (I'm guessing all 4).

Maybe I'm being too harsh; I cannot possibly refute the maturity of its artwork!

Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the game that turned me off to Zelda finally. I thought that series could do no wrong and reserved the thing, excited as can be. I picked it up right away, and then... I was bored. Slow, slow game that I really wanted to like, but in the end just didn't.

BOF3 was actually the game that I played after FF7 and thank's to how much I liked it I actually kept my playstation. BOF3 Is underrated IMHO. BOF4 Isn't. It wasn't all that great. FFX-2!!!!!!! Add that also. WTF is up with that crap game. FFX was one of my favorites FFX-2 was poop with a cherry on top.

Well, the way the game is designed, you'll more likely than not have to replay several hours of it a few times before you can finish the whole thing. And as it doesn't have the greatest battle system in history, that can get pretty boring. I guess the term Survival RPG really is appropriate, though.

It wasn't really that long ago that I played the game, and I wish I could remember more. I know there are regular save points, but for some reason you can't use them freely to try again...

Neither was Vagrant Story.

If I ever do get around to playing an RPG for the PS2, It'll probably be Dragon Quarter.

Dragon Quarter is like nothing else in the series. At times I liked it, but at other times, it's design seemed ridiculous. I never finished it, but that's pretty common with me anyway.

I'd advise reading up on the gameplay somewhere before actually playing it, so you'll have a better idea what you're doing. Not as easy to pick up and play as most console RPG's.

I agree with Breath of Fire 3. 4 wasn't much better. I just hope Dragon Quarter doesn't disappoint me or I'll never play another BOF game again.

Demon's Crest isn't bad, but I don't really like it as much as the other Gargoyle Quest/GnG games. Seemed too short and too much of a focus on trying to find insanely-hidden places and stuff.

It's sort of funny - I'd probably give Breath of Fire 3 and Wind Waker the same score, but in my memory it sort of seems like Wind Waker was worse. That might just be an effect of my playing (better) Zelda games before Wind Waker, but BoF3 was the first game in that series I played.
