i loved dq8 and kinda glad they changed the title from cursed princess to cursed king, b/c you don't know who the princess is to begin w/. as for ff12... it was fun up to a point, then it got to be the same thing over and over again. the game was really big on hunts to the point where the story seemed superfluous.

one of the manga based on dragon quest was actually not boring. the one with 2 dragon knights.

I can't believe they changed it! Cursed princess was the perfect title for an American audience!

But seriously, I'm surprised it has a subtitle at all.

Heh. I liked your "Ninja Gaiden and Cursed Princess" in the other topic.

But don't worry, I'm sure it'll be Dragon Warrior 8 with no subtitles if they release it here. I read that virtually all the other games in the series had subtitles too, but I don't recall any of them being present on the English releases.

This page lists the subtitles for the other games. They aren't much better.

Seems that DQ8 is now at the point where it's playable. So maybe it won't take as long to complete as DQ7.

There's also talk regarding FF12 that the developers aren't happy with the traditional format of walking, watching cut scenes, fighting, and getting special items. So they plan to try something more...
