I've said in the past that I think it's silly to get pedantic with Chrono Trigger's (or most videogames') plots, but what the hell. This has been bugging me for a while.

So basically, when your party goes back and messes around with the timeline, after the Ocean Palace is destroyed, the Palace rises as the final area, the Black Omen. The question is: what causes this?

With hardly any relatives around any more, I think I will not cook a whole turkey this year like I have for several years past (twice on some years, counting Christmas).

FO suggested a Crockpot Thanksgiving, and after thinking it over, I'm leaning that way. Some places say it is possible to even cook stuffing in a crockpot! Probably some thighs and breast would be enough. I could make mashed potatoes on the side.

Since we live in a house now, this is our first ever time giving out Halloween candy. I thought there'd be a lot of trick or treaters, since there are so many decorated houses, and we just now ran out of candy, a little less than 75% of the way into the scheduled trick or treating time.

At first I was letting the kids pick their own candy out of our bowl, but they seemed confused (and sometimes needed both hands to hold open their bag) so I started giving out random candy....

Even though I've used "Torr" as a unit of measuring pressure for several years, I only now learned that it is named after Torricelli, who not only invented the barometer, but who also discovered that the surface of revolution of y=1/x, from x=1 to infinity, has finite volume but infinite surface area (a fact which I still find kind of mind blowing).
