I thought this article was pretty interesting.

So basically he's talking about movies that are at first praised, but over time gain more and more distractors. Sometimes the groups of distractors are small, but sometimes they get very large, to the point of no longer being praised at all. This is something I've been wondering about lately. In particular, I don't really understand the backlash...

I had a coupon for something called Palmolive Pure & Clear dish soap that said I'd be reimbursed the cost of it if I sent in the coupon, the receipt, and the UPC symbol from the bottle. Yesterday, I got what I had sent in back in the mail with a letter stating I couldn't get the refund because there was no date on the receipt.

This is bullshit. Not all stores print dates on their receipts and this one apparently didn't, which I have no control over. But the postmark...

The Doors (movie)

This is a difficult to watch, sometimes boring film. The Doors form early in the film, and after that it's just an endless series of Jim Morrison being spaced out on drugs and self destructing.

It made me think about the three act structure. I think when people are newly exposed to ideas like that, their first instinct is to rebel against them. It seems like this movie could be ammunition for rebelling. "If Jim Morrison's life was It's already obsolete!

I tried to edit all the posts with the blank media players.....and the page would go to a white screen with a message that stated that my request failed because of site maintenace or some size discrepancy.

It bothers me to no end
